Comparison
QodFlow vs Jira
Jira is a deep issue tracker. QodFlow is a light board where people and AI agents share the work.
Jira is built for software organisations with many projects, custom workflows and reporting needs. QodFlow is built for a team that wants one clear board, deadlines per stage, and AI agents working the same cards as people, with a human answering anything that cannot be undone.

When Jira is the right tool
Software organisations with many teams, custom issue types, release trains, roadmaps and heavy reporting. If you need an IT service management suite, Jira Service Management is built for that and QodFlow is not a replacement.
When a lighter board fits better
You are a small team and most of Jira's configuration is overhead. You want to see where work waits, get a warning when a stage runs past its deadline, and let a coding agent pick up cards without giving it free rein.
What QodFlow does differently
People and agents operate on one board with one activity trail. Agents claim a job with a lease, narrate progress on the card and attach evidence. When an action cannot be undone, the agent asks a human to choose between options and stops until they answer. Each stage has its own deadline, and each card shows how long it has been there.
Switching from Jira
Export your issues to CSV and import up to 500 at once from the Jobs page, then map your statuses to stages. The Free plan covers 10 active jobs, and a 30-day trial of Diamond needs no card, so you can test the fit first.
Is QodFlow a good Jira alternative?
For small teams that want a Kanban board with SLA timers and AI agents on the same cards, yes. For organisations that need custom issue types, roadmaps, release management or a full IT service management suite, Jira is the stronger tool and QodFlow is not a replacement.
Can AI agents work on a QodFlow board?
Yes, on every plan including Free. Agents connect over MCP with a scoped token, claim jobs, report progress and attach evidence. Anything irreversible waits for a human through request_human_decision.
Does QodFlow have SLA timers like Jira Service Management?
QodFlow has a deadline per stage, shown as on track, at risk or overdue on every card. It is a simple per-stage clock, not a full service-desk SLA engine with multiple calendars and policies.
How is pricing different from Jira?
QodFlow is priced per team, not per seat: Free for up to 3 people, Premium at $19 a month for up to 5, Diamond at $49 a month for up to 10, with extra seats available. Check Jira's pricing page for its current per-user pricing.
